Music Studio

Research has shown that music has a profound effect on both the mind and body. It can ease tension, allow for emotional expression, enhance fine motor skills, increase collaborative skills and promote general health and wellness. Vocal, piano, keyboard and percussion classes are available in a wide range of musical genres. The most effective way to learn music is by being immersed in the sounds of music, including a broad variety of musical scales, rhythms, and styles. The Music Studio provides just that opportunity.

We have the opportunity of enriching individuals’ lives every week with the amazing powers of music and to cultivate the joy of making music through creative teaching methods. Utilizing an individualized educational approach combined with innovative technology, we provide a personalized musical experience in both group and individual settings. On Your Mark is committed to providing music instruction to people of all ages, regardless of musical ability

Zumba Class

On Your Mark offers Zumba classes for people with and without disabilities. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music – dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be “FUN AND EASY TO DO” allowing Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba Fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind and is adapted to suit the needs of all individuals.

ICC Community Garden

The ICC Community Garden situated on the side of the building includes comprehensive horticulture opportunities. Classes are offered in the basics of planting and gardening, including flowers, vegetables and herbs as well as annuals and biennial plants and flower arrangements.

Horticulture is not just a vocation. It is also one of America’s favorite hobbies – and for good reason. Gardening gives one a love of nature and appreciation for the beauty of life. It reduces stress and anxiety and enhances one’s sense of personal accomplishment. In addition, individuals learn and experience the great taste and health benefits of their home-grown fresh vegetables.

Computer Lab

Our Computer Lab offers individuals an opportunity to recreationally enjoy browsing the internet and playing games, while at the same time furthering their digital proficiency. They can practice typing by using programs such as Mavis Beacon, or while learning their way around programs such as Microsoft Office. Classes on photography and scrap booking also offer a creative incentive for individuals to practice their computer skills. We also offer clerical and office skills training for those who are interested in pursuing that vocational area.
